Net-a-Porter Group founder Dame Natalie Massenet has been announced as the new Chairman of the British Fashion Council, succeeding Harold Tillman and taking up the role in 2013 with an initial three-year commitment.

The BFC confirmed the appointment last night, and Massenet commented 'I am honoured and excited to be taking on the role of Chairman of the British Fashion Council. My experience is in merging extraordinary creative content with innovative global commerce. From January, together with Caroline Rush and her team, I aim to apply these lessons to my new role'.
